Who we are



MultiProbe Inc is located in Santa Barbara, California and was founded in February 2001 by Andrew N. Erickson the President / CEO.

MultiProbe has established itself as the world’s leading supplier of nanoprobing tools to the semiconductor industry. Nanoprobing is the method of measuring the world’s most advanced electronic devices, which are invisible to all but the most advanced microscopes. Our technology has been recognized for excellence through organizations such as Semi, ASM, and R&D 100. MultiProbes’ commitment to the highest resolution and accuracy measurements on the nanoscale is what makes the business successful.

The company has grown rapidly in its short life. This growth has resulted in MultiProbe being recognized and named the 68th fastest growing company in America for 2007 by Entrepreneur Magazines Hot 500 List.

MultiProbe services client giants such as Intel, IBM, Infineon, and Toshiba. Our customer base is worldwide with tools installed in Europe, Japan, Asia, and the USA.

MultiProbe holds 3 Patents in the field of Nanoscale Electrical Measurements and 3 more currently pending, covering key technology positions in our field. Our future work will include expanding the applications of our MultiScan AFP technology and growing our customer base into new markets. We will also seek to expand our role in improving yield and productivity of our core semiconductor customers.

Andy EricksonAndy is the President and Chief Executive Officer of MultiProbe Inc. Prior to founding MultiProbe in February, 2001 Andy headed the electrical applications group at Digital Instruments / Veeco, the world’s premier supplier of Atomic Force Microscopes. His group’s work established electrical measurement AFM as a ubiquitous tool in semiconductor laboratories worldwide.

Andy received his Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of California, San Diego, and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City. He holds 5 Patents in the field of Nanoscale Electrical Measurements and has published and presented dozens of papers, short courses and lectures in this area.
