Guarded Chuck

The Guarded Chuck is shown here mounted atop the SNAP stage. It gives the analyst the added freedom to either electrically isolate the sample or bias the substrate for further flexibility of sample measurements.
FEATURES
The Guarded Chuck offers more than 360 degrees of rotational motion incorporating a vacuum sample securing system and a co-axial signal connection to either an independent parameter analyzer (SPA) or a MultiProbe PicoCurrent channel. Its low profile and material choice makes an ideal addition to boost functionality of the MultiProbe Atomic Force nanoprober, while maintaining low system noise and accessibility.
The Guarded Chuck can simulate an additional probe by providing signal access to the back side of a sample substrate. This proven technique has been invaluable to maximizing performance with any AFP configuration. The Guarded Chuck is also available for a manual sample positioner maintaining the same functionality. It is directly mounted to the manual XYZ-Theta Sample Stage.

Thermal Chuck (in development)

The Thermal Chuck allows for high-temperature measurements.
FEATURES
heated chuckEach sample stage configuration is compatible with an optional Guarded Thermal Chuck for heated sample probing at temperatures up to 120°C. The thermal chuck is able to hold a 20x20mm sample and is stable to +/- 0.05°C
